Warya Dawladsade, all I am saying is that Hornrelief has a track record in its hiring practices which is contrary to a statement made by Xplosive. If they change or not, I don't give a hoot, I am just telling it like it is.

How is that relevant to anything I've said? I am basing my comment on actual statements that they've made. Nomatter what their track record looks like, things could be different this time (according to what they've said anyway).

Xplosive, you stated that they will hire different tribes, and my comment was about the track record of the implementing agency, which has always hired Warsangalis. If they change now good for them. Involving other tribes will create a wider committment from the community at large.

This will be a bigger port than Bosasos In shallah.

I hope it goes well and unscathed. Both Somaliland and Puntland are extremely opposed to its successful completion. Nevertheless, nothing will stop it.

Niya, c'mon. Horn Relief even works in Jubooyinka . Do you know that? It has diverse and skilled work force who some of them work by means of voluntary. Most of its external employees are white.

Reason they are building this port is because of Mohmoud saleeban dominance of Bosaso port. Nothing wrong with that but it is the truth Laughing

3000DWT is like a fairly medium sized Boat. That is only able to meet the needs of Fishfaces. Very Happy

Berbera accommodates 6x 40,000DWT Freighter Ro-Ro ships.

OK, so we should I forward my donations?

Whats the point of bragging about Berbera port when a isaaq businessmen can't come in with Shidaal but the Ethiopians can (u know what happend to ALXARBI company). This port wil inshallah give priority to Somalis.

A great and worthy project. This is the kind of thing that we should all invest in. With one proviso: They should clearly say they are a Somaliland port.

Why?, They don't support Somaliland and they come under Puntland state of Somalia.

Incase you haven't realized all areas of the former British Somaliland are not for disunity.

Who do you think? Aabo Afwayne Laughing

Mr. BigMouth did everything under his power to convince the Soviets to instead build up Bosaso and Kismaio. The Soviets told him either Berbera or the highway. Laughing

Berbera's fuel depot are leased to the French Oil Giant Total.

There are market forces at play. Of course, economy dictates that you get more from export or re-export and in this case, every barrel re-exported to Ethiopia is taxable. More money in the coffers.

Actually, we are family friends with one of the heads of this organization who is of Xplosive's clan affiliation Smile He is a Former Somali Professor & Senior Consultant to The World Bank Group.

He told me that it will not be anywhere near the size of the Berbera Port, which, incidentally, (as KUN-DILE will readily tell you) was built under the Siad Barre Administration because Berbera is a commercial-grade deep water sea port.

Bossasso is not as large as Berbera either, but has been quite succesful in wresting business from Berbera due to lower costs & overhead.

The Las Qoray port is intended as a port for community development in the areas of Sanaag.

I wish them the best
