Man all thse times i used to think this dude was somali until i started raading his life story from the Uni library which gave an insight on the war years of 1531-43. i also had a sneak @ wikipedia.
the funny thing is that his generals, wife nephew etc have weird arabish names.
if the guy was somali as we claim he would have had one of these modern somali names.
i have a feeling that arabs controlled somalia back then and used somalis (blacks) as foot soldiers! here is the link
