yesterday i think. some of the presenters are ex-bbc somali staffs. i reckon, the bbc somali will still be the number 1 for somalis, even though i personally lament the way its editor has caused it to become partisan and bias.

VOA is trying to get a piece of the pie from the brits.

This was a subject of discussion when I was working in Africa, and I had strongly urged the establishment of a VOA Somali language broadcast. Didn't realize the wheels were finally up. Took long enough.

If it follows the standard model, you will get dialog from both sides of the political spectrum, but mostly music and stuff. Probably some talk radio.
