I am afraid we have crossed all sacred boundaries! The things I've heard over the years of Somalis & of Somalia, sometimes ignorance is a bliss.

For example, did you know that prior to the UIC rule in Mogadishu. There were numerous 'makeshift cinemas' that used to show porn, what shocked me though was the fact that these cinemas had loud speakers installed, whereby all the neighbors & pedestrians heard all of the noises of people having sex!

It's possible that UIC overreacted in many instances, but as far as porn cinemas are concerned, they always existed even prior to the civil war. And multiplied afterwards.

They used to be called "Filmaanta Dhalinyarada" & I actually walked in to one being shown at Shinemo Ekwatore years ago. Ofcourse people had a sense of censorship then, it eroded over the years.

Prag, Perhaps I'm and is probably due to the fact that I'm ignorant about the nomadic life and their dhaqan. I never left Mogadishu except for handful visits to Merka.
