The 4 dresses is a long story but yeah I feel you. Do this, print the invitations, and you won't push it back. Those things aren't cheap.
We argue too, it's normal I guess, but never considered pushing the wedding back. He's lucky that Im cool like that..Lol

Walaahi it is so much easier to keep arguments and fights about just what they're about at that moment instead of dragging other things into it. But you know how we women are, we want to bring up little things that have been bugging us so on and so forth and then you are fighting about something totally different then you were fighting about...and then guess what happens? The current issue get's brugh back up next time. So, I took that advice and walaahi life is so much easier that way.

He is very, very calm,very patient..but I heard that he has what we call cadho xun, once he get's to that level... I have yet to see that side, and hopefully I won't piss him off to much to see it... So we got these two, one with xalwad iyo buskud, and the other with timir and muqmad(oodkac). Glad I aint marrying no qaldaan, that's just too much oodkac making for someone else to enjoy.

OK, I'm starting to have a panic attack. Engagement party, wedding, reception, shaashsaar, xeedho, are they all necessary for the SAME couple?? How far ahead do you need to plan them? Who's responsible for them?

not really, u don't have to have all of them. infact if it were up to me, i'd opt only for a nikax and small getogether, but my family and friends ain't havin' it..they wanna go all out so i say knock ya selfs out. and besides i'm only putting my efforts into the wedding reception. the rest is hooyo and eedoyaal territory. just show up with my dirac and dahab on to those other functions.

Ive heard hooyo talk about shashsar or whatever its called..she said they put a whole bunch of masaro(scarfs) on the bride and rotate in circles while dancing and singing..is that true?..but anywho i rather sit through a xeero because after watching videos of men gettin hit with the stick after answer a trivia wrong:) i'd most definatley enjoy that:)

I prefer Shaashsaar much much more. LOL. I think the best one went on at the wedding last week and Qanyare's last January.

wedding/reception=The guy/The couple
shaashsaar= Girls parents
xeedho= Girl's parents
are they all necessary for the SAME couple= HELL YEAH! you only do this once.

How far ahead do you need to plan them?= Been planning for a little under a year. Or if you're Zulaika, for 6 years. LOL
