Message from an Eritrean

Please don't believe anything you hear from the mainstream about Eritrea and its role in Somalia. We Eritreans got love for our Somali brothers and sisters. Our support of the Somali people is long-running, genuine and sincere and not just conditional support for our enemy's enemy. I suggest that all of you read what the president of Eritrea had to say about Somalia and the current state affairs in the Horn of Africa. It will really clear things up. true, but it goes beyond the united nations. america, israel, russia, EU, australia, etc. Just look at Eritrea's history and youll see that eritrea went against the world; against all odd. By the way "against all odds" by dan connell is the best book introductory book on eritrea (michaella wrongs book has too much of her own opinion in it and doesnt stick to the facts like connell's book). The west hates Eritrea because it believes in self reliance and economic freedom. It was the fast growing country in the world in 1997 (in terms of percent growth) when it started printing its own money and dumped the ethiopian birr. Coincidentally a few months later the Ethiopians, with the full support and funding of the US and Israel, went to war with tiny Eritrea. 123,000 of their people died in two years of fighting. If those HIV infested mercenaries of the west ever attack our people again, it will be the same result.

Honestly though, i dont got anything against the Ethiopian people. I do have a problem with their consecutive oppressive governments who have always kept their people mentally enslaved. They have been conditioned to rally up against eritrea and somalia for the good of the govt rather than the good of the people. We can never blame the peasants of eritrea, ethiopia or somalia . we can only blame the corrupt governments within them (aka meles). I dont know how most of you feel about the TFG but I have no love for them if their people dont even support them. Do most somali's believe in the cause of the ICU?
