Muttawaciin Brigade in Malaysia

Postby Aiman » Mon Feb 26, 2007 4:13 pm

Asalaamu Caleykum Waraxmatullaahi Wabarakaatuh my dear respected brothers & sisters in Islam and Hello to the non Muslim and the Kuffar e.t.c.

Bacadu Salaam,

Malaysian state to spy on lovers
By Jonathan Kent
BBC correspondent in Kuala Lumpur

Mosque in Kuala Lumpur
Attitudes in predominantly Muslim Malaysia remain conservative
The Malaysian state of Terengganu is to recruit a network of spies to keep an eye on local Muslims.

The spies will tip off Islamic morality officers if they spot couples engaged in illicit kissing, cuddling or other untoward activities.

The public has been assured that the spies will only be allowed to snoop, and not peep.

The state hopes to recruit workers in public places to watch for unmarried couples behaving suspiciously.

The head of Terengganu's Islam and Welfare Committee, Rosol Wahid, said the spies would tip off religious morality patrols if they saw Muslims on dates in secluded areas and believed they were intending to have sex.

He later assured people that his agents would not be peeping toms hiding behind trees and that they would not be issued with binoculars.

Mr Rosol seems to have been spurred by his belief that most of the rapes reported in the state are in fact instances of consensual sex.

He says parents complain to the police when they later discover that their daughters are pregnant.

==========================================================

Our Muttawaciin Moral Force Brigade is spreading from East Africa to Arabian Peninsula (M. East) all way to Southeast Asia Indonesian and Malaysia to enforce Islamic Moral and Values and halt the western imported cult.

What do you think?

PS: I already know what the "liberals open minded" group will say but say it anyways.

What is the point when Iman is all but dead, and we follow the letter of the law blindly and with no benefit?

You are a heretic. Can't wait to see Helwaa's response to that one.

No point externally enforcing what is supposed to come from the heart.

Doesn't mean the State doesn't punish fornicators, adulterers, murderers, homosexuals and others, with the required upstanding four witnesses and corroborating evidence. But to stop people from doing the minor stupid things Iman is supposed to take care of using police, who might also be as corrupt, is foolish and short sighted.

I agree with you 100% - except that of course I don't agree with Shari'a at all. But OK, aside from that, I do agree with you that all religions, to have meaning, have to come from within. When codified rules of behavior take on more meaning than the spiratual aspect of the faith, then the entire concept is perverted. Regardless of the faith.

But most "Islamists" today would consider your ideas both anathema and dangerous.

I am reminded of the Gehiemstaatspolizei.

The eastern branch of Islam spread largely without warfare, simply on the basis of it's intrinsic appeal. I have to wonder if this represents a change in direction and how much indigenous support it has.

The Muttawa have always had a lot of commonality to the Gestapo. Sort of like the STASI as well. I can't remember now the name of the Somali version that worked for Jalle Siad. But it's always about the same thing. Using force to coerce with hidden agents.
