Why we somalis are becoming less and less nationalists. I remember during the height of the civil war in somalia, somali people in the deaspore weren't as dead beat as they're now. Back in the 90s, people were fighting back home, but at the same time we were aware of our environment. I mean, qbil was big but not to the extend that it over shadows our daily life.
One other thing i remember was, we were very opend minded and less hard headed in accepting the good things other societies had to offer. In other words, we didn't have coffee, it was either with the larger muslims or with other africans.
How do you think people view somalis now vs back then?
What are the factories that helped this dead beatness of the somali nationalistic fervours?
Do you think the media played a majore role in dis integrating and dis fractioning the already volnarable somali culture?
How is the newly influx of refugees helping cope with the problem?
