In April 1988, Siyad Barre and Mengistu of Ethiopia signed a peace agreement in Djibouti. In response, The SNM launched in May 27-30 ferocious attacks on Siyad Barre’s garrisons stationed in Hargeisa and Burao. Siyad Barre’s army, one of the best in Africa, was overrun by SNM guerrillas.
As retribution, Siyad Barre’s son-in-law, Colonel Morgan (now a warlord in Somalia and member of TFG goverment), who was then the governor of the region, ordered the air force to bomb Hargeisa and Burao (the air force was manned by white south African mercenaries ).
Yes my dear Hawiya brothers it is not the first time majerteen jews use foreign gaalos to bomb their fellow muslims. over 50,000 civilians, women, men and children were killed and over 500.000 fled to desolate Ethiopian camps. This was an unparalleled human tragedy. Others were killed as they fled from the cities to the countryside. Over one million uncharted mines were laid by the army in W/galbeed .
However, by the end of the 1980s, " 35 000 SNM guerilla soldieres (Somali National Movement) took controll all of what is today the borders of Somaliland , including the major towns of Hargeisa and Burao, Erigavo, Las Anod.
Did you guys know SNM was fighting from sea , it controlled the small port cities before
before laying siege to Berbera .
But can History repeat itself ?
Kenneth Menkhaus in August 2003 stated, "General Morgan is a political pariah, likely to be the first Somali leader charged with war crimes at some point in the future."
" However the man that ordered the bombing of the northern cities is today hired as President Abdullahi Yufus " military advisor " .This majerteenia clan goverment can by no doubt be worse then the marexaan goverment before .
This is a strong warning to all fellow Somalilanders do not believe the gaalos and TFG goverment. We are today the largest diaspora of somalis .
Our army is the strongest somali military today but as you know the arms embargo has been lifted for TFG . We must prepared to support our country financially and by manpower as the eritreans in Europe and US did under the war with Ethiopia.
They sent money to buy new jet planes and what their military needed.
All I say to you is do not be taken by suprise like ICU was.
Long live Somaliland
