Axmed Faarax Cali "Idaajaa", a fellow of the Somali Academy of Sciences and the Arts. A prolific writer on Somali literary history and a novelist who is considered the greatest Somali prose stylist. A member of the Mareexaan tribe who ruled Somalia from 1969-1991. In his latter years, he was an outspoken opponent of the government. A supremely gifted Intellectual who has continued his prolific output even in exile. He is now working on the biography and collected poetry of Samatar Baxnaan, a famous Dhulbahante poet.
