CAIR helped out my Senegalese neighbor who was harassed by the Feds for being Muslim. They provided him legal assistance to stop the harassement and educated a lot of Africans about their rights under the Constitution.

I salute civil rights organizations like CAIR & the ACLU who work to defend YOUR civil rights from being stepped on be it by the Feds & State govts or even corporations.

You never know when you'll need someone to help you out until your rights are trampled on.

Then you will appreciate CAIR.

lol there is so much misunderstanding going on here. No one saying Cair or other muslim org. not helping other muslims. All we are saying is how to build a strong Somali community that provided am united opinion so we say somali community agrees on this or that issue. They're always get left sort of hanging. Moreover they contain no mechanisms or steps towards achieving our goals. There's still a lot of work to be done.we are badly divided. Do you think Somalis will raise above qabil and unite under principles, do you see that happening anytime soon?

You are absolutely right bro. In my previous comments, I just spoke about the over view of our troubles. Therefore, like I said before its easier said than done. If we have good leaders, the correct solution and mechanisms will come naturally, but we lack leaders. Thats makes overcoming the problem even harder. I think the formal Somali community should become under one large umbrella in every state. In order for this to happen, the state should be contacted to stop funding these thievies and let them be aware of the situation the somali communities are in. The state legistator need to adopt a strict laws and regulations for these communities to function so that everyone who is qualified for services is served equally. An other things is hiring qualified indivituals to run these communities, not some farax who wants to make money.This way, qabil will not have a chance to be in the picture.

Hyper, I don't think this will happen over nite but I think its a good way to start. Qabil is the reason why Somalia is the way it is today. Therefore, you and I know its not going anywhere anytime soon. May be Islam is the only thing that can bring Somalis to common understanding, hopefully.
