Thanks for sharing those days were the days when Somalis and Somalia (as a whole) use to have dignity, power, and glory but now we have selfish groups degrading our honorable name.

The russians airlifted a Billion dollars in Arms in a month to Ethiopia. One of the greatest logistical military operations ever carried out. They brought 13,000 cubans to operate the technical machinery cause they had no time to train the Ethiopians. War to be won and quick, you know.

They smoked the Somalis. And we never recovered from it. To this day. The government distributed arms freely to the civilian rural population to set the groundwork for a guerrila operation in case they Warsaw pact crossed our border into Somali proper.

We werent a super power, but we had an efficiently working if stifling and regimented society. With political and economic liberalization, we could have been something.
