[quote="DawladSade"]why dont you say there is a riyaawad on may 18 since that is the only thing somaliland achieves to day, a yearly established riyaawad??
i went to a sland celebration and they turned on this powerpoint about the 80's shit and do you know how ackward i felt especially since i knew 3/4 of the ppl there and they knew what atleast my qabiil was
suffice to say, i pretended to use the bathroom and just left, there was no point to being there anymore since any one of them might try to stab me at any given chance

On the contrary one of my mates went to a dhabayo wedding. Actually his gurl invited him to the wedding cos she was close. I think its mj, maxamuud cumar wedding. The wedding was in a nice hood, and he looked forward to it, wear his best suit etc.
Once he got there, it started in a great manner, with music and lots of gurls. He felt bit at home, cos they rewind Fuad Cumar - macal mays aroosnaa few times.
After 30-40 mins of good music and fun, all over sudden things changed. The music was stoped and ppl took their seats. He taught it was cunto time.....isku dhex kariis time. but No.
Man dressed up neatly, got to the station and started talking about the history of cumar maxamuud and all them other dhabayos.
The gurl was embarrassed, but most ppl at the joint were comfortable.
He promised never to attend any dhabacayo wedding. A great lesson in Mj philosophy.
