GeneraleQ, be careful of mis-using Islam to enhance and justify your clannish reasonings and selectively using it to substantiate your politically expedient statements. Further, refrain from attributing fabricated statements to the Nabiga (SCW) which itself is a grave dambi. Allah SWT has assured the believers that he will support them with Victory as long as they adhere to the covenant with Allah. He says: "Oh you who have faith, if you support Allah, He will support you (by awarding you with Victory)" (47:7). The Prophet (SCW) said in a hadith collected by Tabarani, narrated by Ibn Cabbaas(RA):
ولم ينقضوا عهد الله وعهد رسوله إلا سلط الله عليهم عدوا من غيرهم Ùأخذوا بعض ما كان ÙÙŠ أيديهم، وما لم تØكم أئمتهم بكتاب الله عز وجل ويتØروا Ùيما أنزل الله إلا جعل الله بأسهم بينهم شديداً.
"If they break the covenant of Allah and His Messenger, Allah will send an external enemy against them who will seize some of their possessions; If they do not rule by the Qu'ran, nor attempt to implement everything in it, Allah will spread enmity among them."
The Sahabas had suffered defeat in the battle of Uhud despite the fact that the Messenger was in their midst or what about the humiliating loss at Hunayn. This defeat and humiliation stemmed from their arrogance and delusion by their multitude that barred them from relying on the Lord of the Worlds. Instead they relied on their “bewildering†numbers. He says:
"Truly, Allah has given you victory on many battlefields, and on the Day of Hunayn, when you rejoiced at your great number, but it availed you naught and the earth as vast as it is, was straitened for you, then you turned back in flight. Then Allah did send down His tranquillity on His Messenger and on the believers, and sent down forces which you saw not, and punished those who disbelieved. Such is the recompense of disbelievers." (9:25-26)
Allah SWT has promised the ultimate Victory if their tawhiid is intact which automatically debunks you fabricated statement against the Prophet that Allah causes the righteous army to lose as a means of trial.. He says:
Verily, We will make victorious Our Messengers and those who believe in this worldly life and on the Day when the witnesses will stand forth (40:51)
The gravity for the conditions and elements of Victory was so heavily emphasized that Allah sent down sixty ayaat concering the events of battle of Uhud so as to remind the Muslims that Victory comes only from Allah.
The late Sheikh ibn Salih al-Uthaymin (RH) wrote a beautiful treatise regarding the fundamental causes of Victory and Defeat.
He mentions in his first and second points that arrogance in strength and doing what Allah forbade is one of the major causes of Defeat. These causes alone led to the quick demise of the ICU. Allah (SWT) rewarded them initially with Victory over the warlords but received that Victory with arrogance and what not. They integrated shady characters in their organisation, invade peaceful territories and made threatening statements boasting their might and power and Allah shamed them with defeat. Now you have some of the ICU seniors blaming the shady characters that they adapted in to their organisation.
