War is about Will and Reinforcement. Hawiye people lack neither.



The Tigre troops do not have enough man power to defeat Hawiye and Somalia. They are moving their troops around from El Cirfid to Afgooye. The troop movement has already worked in the enemy disadvantage. Laamiga Balcad iyo Xamar wuu furanyahay.


Now, if the Tigres are bringing new forces in why would they abondon such a strategic point that require them more man to be captured again.



The Ethiopian forces stationing around El-Irfid settlement in northern outskirt of the Somalia capital are reported to have abandoned there heading to Afgoie town, 30km south of the city to reinforce the Ethiopian soldiers fighting the insurgents as the Shabelle Al-Adala correspondent reports on Saturday.

Residents told Shabelle Radio that the Ethiopian soldiers moved the compound mid last night. The traffic on the road to Balad town which has been blocked over the past week resumed to its normal.

But there were fears over that the Ethiopian forces might leave mines on the ground.

The road linking Mogadishu to the northern district Balad has been sealed since last week after an Islamist suicide bomber driving car mounted with explosives attacked the Ethiopian barracks killing dozens of Ethiopians.

Somali’s government soldiers were left at the compound where the Ethiopians deserted and are also preparing to leave there.

The enemy of Hawiye should not confuse the cold reality of War


This should be said again,


The Tigre militia around Mogadishu number no more than 25,000 at best. Hawiye can muster 200, 000 fighting men in Mogadishu alone. Hawiye can also recruit another 100, 000 in the next months from Hawiye regions.


The Tigre militia cannot muster 50, 000 troops in Somalia. They have to defend themselves from Ereteria which means they have to keep at least 50, 000 troops in their border with Eriteria. The Tigre dictator has to also put at least 25, 000 troops around Addis Abba to protect Tigre dictatorship.


So how many man can a Tigre Militia manage to send Hawiye somalia and fight Hawiyes in terrian that favores Hawiye. So in terms of man power we would be out numbering the Tigre militia. In addition, the famous Hawiye bravery would be tested against Tigre bravado.

Tigre are forced to fight in an unkown terrain and bring their supplies and through Hawiye territory


At the tactical level, Hawiyes are following a sound traditional strategy.


First, cut supplies near Mogadishu: main port and airports


Second, force the enemy to bring their supplies through hostile Hawiye roads


Third, destroy their supply lines through ambushes and mines.



All the three strategies have been acheived in the third day of the war. The Tigre are fighting in enemy lands, their supply and reinforcements have to fight their way in and out.
