I will be first to admit that I didn't really know much about this somali woman but after watching her as a guest on the Bill Maher show, I have alot of respect for her. She was very eloquent, poised, articulate, and a well spoken individual. Her views on Islam and politics in general are quite interesting and I think I will have to buy a copy of her latest book. Quite an interesting somali woman. I'm sure you people are proud of the fact that she's somali. If I were you....I would be.

A piece of advice #1baller. She might be articulate and poised but she has an agenda in depicting and belittling Islam as intolerant religion whose adherants are backward. However she is playing a primordial role for the west . She is accused of being disrespectful, profane, and disguised atheist. From her interviews and the books she wrote about Islam, you will come to conclusion that she harbors loathing and ill-bred views of Islam.

Unless you want to have sadistic pleasure of the distortion and disfigurement of Islam, you will go for her books. But if you really interested in Islam, I will suggest one course from Religious Studies Department of your nearby university.

Thanks for the tip. While I still don't know that much about her, I'd like to get to know a lil bit more. I don't think she appears to be an athiest based on the interview she did on the show. To be honest, her comments on the panel was quite interesting and didn't seem to depict hate towards Islam and muslims in general. If anything she merely pointed out her views on what she thinks the issues are in regards to the 9/11 bombings.

And besides what she says isn't something we've never heard before. She just brought the issues to the forefront unlike our idiot president who for what ever dumb reason refuses to do so.

Please! Give me a break! I myself watched the show, and also commented here in the forum about it. I still maintain my clear and coloteral opinion, which is- she is nothing less of an opportunist, serving her personal, monetary needs. She feeds what america wants to hear and in return, she gets a residence document and a book contract deal. Have you see her book?? Its right there in Barnes and nobles, go check it out. On the cover, she poses with undeniable cunning, carnivorous posture, her boney jaws outlining her long, lifeless face, her hair afaar haabo, and the tittle--just the thing she is made of: to shock. Its called 'Infidel'. I perused couple pages to just catch her tone, her writing voice if you will. She impresses me as an amateur writer with penchant to write like a 7th grader- jotting down in her diary.She is a sad little majeerten import, who should have died long time ago, instead of her dutch friend film maker- who was shot in broad day light in Holland. (or was he stabbed? lol)


The particular show-she sounded extremely solitary and sad. Certainly she is intelligent but not intellectual. There is a huge difference. She is annoying, arguementative, feminist wanna be and at the end of the day, a Majeerten. 'Aqaase'- is my only logical retort.

You may have discovered Ayaan Hirsi recently, but most Somalis in the West know her as the "Atheist that insulted the Prophet (saw)". Wheter she is eloquent or articulate is not an issue, he has speerheaded a vile campaign of character assasination of Islam and Prophet Muhammad (saw). She has advocated for the closing down of madrasahs in the Netherlands, she has written books about how evil & backward Islam is, she has co-directed an infamous documentary about the treatment of women in Islam.

She has also tried to introduce judicial laws to restrict immigratian in to Holland.
