This is clear evidence of a Western conspiracy to keep Muslims in a state of sin by hiding haram foods in the food supply. Pepsi and Sara Lee! Shocked

(I understand the haram nature of some animal byproducts. Cooked alcohol and red food color seem a little less clear. My authoritative Yemeni neighbor says they have fatwas permitting the eating of both Christian and Jewish food, so some of this does seem a little extreme.

Vanilla extract? The alcohol is just a medium and evaporates completely. It takes alcohol to make vinegar. Are Muslims forbidden to use vinegar?)
