i talked to more than 120 somali men arround my age. some in school, work, mosque and in other social context. most are well educated. most of them told me they will like to have boys only if it was their choice. few mentioned girls, 1 daughter with 10 sons to help her mum. most are insecure of a girl growing up in the west. most understand boys are the same but feel the girl's shame is bigger. who will these boys marry?

i'm neither a lesbian, feminists, ugly single OR a garob...but i will give you my $.02 on this, it's not that they're insecure about having a daughter growing up in the west, its just human nature, if you ask any man, regardless of ethnicity, he'll tell you the same thing, but ask a woman, again, of any ethnicity, she'll more than likely say she would like a daughter. you see, it's human nature...so why do i have the feeling like you're trying to take a shot at somali men?
