Why the UHC Will Never Lose

Postby AbdiWahab252 » Thu Apr 26, 2007 8:17 am

The UHC will never lose in this war at all because they have clear advantages:

1. Location - Mogadishu is deep in the heart of Hawiyedom. This allows the UHC to have better knowledge of the terrain which their fighters are familiar with unlike the Ethiopians and Punanilanders.

2. Clan Size - The UHC can draw from the most populous Somali clan, the Hawiye for manpower, money & other forms of support. Afbiijo's support has to be flown in from his clan homeland, 900 miles away.

3. Rebel Experience - The UHC consists of well experienced rebel fighters who will use insurgent tatics that will make life extremely difficult for the Punanilander & Ethiopians.

4. Framing Victory - The Punanilanders & Ethiopians have to show that they have pacified the city to show victory while the UHC has to simply continue their attacks.

5. Morale - The UHC moral is high because they are fighting for their rights and freedoms while the Punanilanders & Ethios troops moral is low as they don't see what they are fighting for.

So in the end, the UHC will win if the war continues.

Abdi
Using this rationale, it would seem to me that the Ethiopians and TFG should never have been able to enter Mog in the first place. But yet they did. I would not underestimate the importance of firepower in warfare when one side is prepared to use it.

Mad,

The Ethios & TFG entered Mog because they were allowed to. However, the two started a fight with the Hawiye clan & have labeled it as a war on terror. THe UIC have been dismantled and no longer exist formally as an organization. Once the war became tribal, the Hawiye untied to fight this tribal war: both ex-UIC & Anti-UIC.

To wipe out an insurgency takes a long time to accomplish and not 4 months. The UHC will continue their struggle because there is no room for negotiations as too much blood and destruction has occurred.

Once Washington stops funding EThiopia & the TFG after seeing their tax dollars used to promote genocide, the UHC will finish off the TFG.

In the end, time favors the UHC.

Washington isn't going to stop funding it. Certainly not anytime soon. Maybe after Bush is gone. BUT there is no way the Hawiye can take this for 8 more months. NO WAY.

This might well spin completely out of control. Already, half a million Hawiye are at risk for famine.

Shaab
Agent Orange is not a banned Chemical weapon. It is a defoliant which we stopped using because it appeared to be a carcinogen. Since Somalia doens't have much foliage, it is unlikely that a defoliant would be employed there, ever were it still in the inventory, which it is not.
