When I think of romance it can be a heated fight that ends in a very sweet place. Its also would be infinite.

“In the first euphoric weeks (or even months) of love, the symptoms of mania are clearly evident. These include expansive mood, inflated self-esteem, decreased need for sleep, a pressure to talk, racing thoughts, distractibility, increased activity (particularly sexual), and a general disregard for the consequences of pleasure-seeking... Only four of the above (including expansive mood) experienced for one week will be sufficient to meet... diagnostic criteria for a manic episode.†(p.57) From A book by Mark Tallis.

Ismahan, Yep, it is even worse when you fall in love for the first time. No need to take you back to those days when you had your heart up on your sleeve and you fell in love with your neighbour or classmate. I am sure he was on your thoughts round the clock, when you spotted him you lost your composure, when your eyes met his you looked away feeling the tingle down your spine, when he said "hi" to you you happily told that to your confidante, you always put yourself where he would notice you and etc
Ila qeebso qisadaa soo martay, you can even private me sweety

Btw, if you are interested, the book written by Mark Tallis, the Psychologist is called:
Love Sickness: Love As A Mental Illness

Ba'aa, ina adeero ilaahay baan ku gu dhaarsahye, ruun bal ee sheeg, have you been in that situation before?

Love is a very dangerous game. I don't take the matters of my heart very lightly, for its certainly nothing to play with. However, I will relate to the what you said above.
This book you speak off, from the title of it, is definitely an interesting perceptive of the meaning of LOve, something I'm sure I don't want to experience. I do think it will be a good read. Do you recommend it ?

Ismahan, no I don't recommend it, I don't want you develop fear of falling in love with the right man when he comes along.
If you don't take matters of the heart so lightly, then you are the type of a person who once they fall in love, there is no return. Once you let your guard down and give the keys to your heart away to a man, you are at his mercy

Someday, somewhere, a man will be the object of your obsession, it is given.
And no, what i said wasn't about me but about you

so tell me about your first trip out of your protective gear and you fell in love with your neighbour lol.
ooh, nothing sweeter than a beautiful girl drunk with love, men just own them for good once they find them in that vulnerable situation, hope when it happens to you ismahaaneey, the guy is good enough to marry you instead of taking advantage of you, ciao abaayo.

Basra--
"Somali Romantic -simply means....Unsii with low, cheap night candles- prepare food for him, making the deriin seating for him and his buddies --and walking to the next door neighbor for gossip update. "

Is that the life you're looking forward to?Unsii and Candles???What the heck, what is with the clash women?
Gamadid--Loool.Why do men like you blow thier own trumpet?Chow Chow, Maxaad ku hadalshey?Don't you know women have the secret posion?Men are like dogs once we work our magic.Lakinse, I must admitt that was a nice quote.Do you read about Romance and love alot?

Lil CutieLOL
I am not a romantic gurl. I have NEVER been. I read romance novels, i watch romance movies but i dont believe in it in reality sense. I believe romance exist in fantasy, slash movies & novels. I am very cynic, very realistic, and absolutely cold hearted.
All i want is the necessity of life: Which is material aspirations--a great house, two daughters, a kitty, a white fence and certainly a collection of diamonds possesion. Is this too much to ask?

As to your question to Gama?
Does he read a lot of romance books?? Why a BIG...YES. Gama is the most romantic guy i have ever met online. I mean even the reality men who go gaah gaah gooh on me in real life, never showed so much romantic appetite like Gama did to me.The poor guy is a sensitive chap who long time ago fell for me intensely, i am so glad now he is somewhat coping with his love for me by slowly misplacing it with slow dose of Pseudo contempt. A smart move if u ask me, i mean of course he does have the private struggle of love residue here and there--evident from his insisting he never reads my reviews or stories or posts for that matter; i am sure he wants to kinda give a picture of -'i have moved on' or something. LOOOOOOL My goodness look at me giving u a lengthy dose of gossip and analysis of poor Gama. I suppose i would scandalously confess i do have a soft spot for the now old romantic guy. He is really charming.
Anyway yes Gama does read romantic books, chiefly and aptly one romantic book that at least he has confessed here was Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights. The most boring epic romance in literature in my opinion. Gama, like the Bronte sisters are strong believers of 'passionate Romance' which is a component to have if u will ever will be a romantic. The passion has to be there. I am in the school of no passion, no eloquence in romance or love for that matter-- just pretend it doesn't exist & life will be sweet.

The Victorian style if you will. loool

Lool.Too much to ask for?NO WAY!
If you ask me, I reckon you've let Gama off lightly.Ops did I just assume you was talking about Romance&Life with Gama?Damn you,if he contiues with the Romance and Love garbage he will be a su'cker for you anyday, even with your Blondey attitude.

But honey, what is with the kitty..??Yuk, infectous!
..And my dear Cyber friend Basra, you have just proven how Somali you are with the mini essay of a gossip. You in real life would be worse. So while Gama is back at home you've come to interrogate me next door on the otherside of the white fence (with a tint of pink-Ofcourse).

Your anology with the typical somali romance seems so real right now.

LOl lil Cutie
Blondey atitude?? Why do people say that hoorta?? Just because i have this amiable effervescent happy attitude doesn't make me a blondie! My goodness this has to stop!
Lil -- Kities --is a novel idea, i didn't mean it per se. I am allergic to cats in real life. But i think kitties are adorable and cute--until they grow into cats--then u have to get a new Kitty.
Besides Dogs are haraam, the ideal thing to have is a golden retriever dog.
OF course i am a typical Somali- i live by it.

(ironic in every sense i know). So i guess we will be neighbors of opposite fence. Mine with White fence symbolizing my main steam conservativeness, and yours a tint of pink fence symbolyzing your borderline transcendany to 'Modernictic Jecel' dreams.(not to mention a tint pink o& blondie make a familiar pair or a sense of fashion taste lol) Good luck-- we will wave at each other from a distant, and on a good day maybe utter 'hello' on opposite street.

nothing happened. if you really think about it there are millions of people out there always talking about about loss, heartbreak, misery, deception, rejection, pain, jelousy, regret etc etc, and are on the brink of suicide, why? isn't it obvious romance baa ka waalay in the first place? i refuse to give in to this thing called romance. thank you, but no thank you.

Helwa, nothing wrong with that at all.....for people who like that kind of life. If I have kids, then I have no qualms about staying at home....but why sit around and wait for his paycheque when Im free to do so myself?
Basra, I dont want a room mate for a husband....we all have human needs that mere roomates cannnot provide.
