Why do Somalis $ Muslims mess up public restrooms after Wudu

Managers in charge of institutions like schools, hotels, airports have complained about their Public restrooms being messed by Muslims, esp Somalis, after taking ablution or Wudu. Some Airports , hotels, and schools have even banned the use of their restrooms as a last resort. I have experienced myself such stiff policy as I was denied once to use a Public restroom. At Somali talk site page, it posted a student report asking all students in MN state university to take their Wudu at home or preserve their Wudu while in school.

I guess all it takes to avoid bad relationship with the managers of these institutions is to clean the public restroom after the Wudu. Don't be negligent and lazy about cleaning the water. Cleanliness is half of a Mumin's faith as the Hadith proclaims.

Nothing gets to me more than messy restrooms forget about public one, I don't use them at all. Somalis are generally messy in this catagory.

Western Toilets are not designed to do wudhu and Somalis in general like to rush things.

its really simple and I hate cleaning up after peeps after using my bathroom

It might give us a bad generalization. Somalis are generally very clean but when it comes to Wudu they mess it up. The difference is striking betwen girls and boys in the cleaning department. God bless our girls.

as far as I am concirned its not coming from US, down here. cuz all most everyone that I know including myself cleans up after Wudu.

man, it's very simple. Make your wudu before you leave your house and put your socks on. That way, if you need to make wudu in a public restroom, all you need to do is slip off your shoes and lightly gacantaada qoyan ku kor mari your socks......

I've seen ppl take the socks off and stick their feet in the sinks......there's an easier way.

In George Mason University here in VA, they re-designed the bathroom so that there is a place you can sit down and do wudu........on top of that they have their own "Meditation Room" in the Student Union............wallahi hijab is the style in that University...........

First of why don't they talk about those ppl who urinating all over the toilet and don't flash their shyt, and most of them are Americans --and they even smoke in the toilet! so a little bit of water is nothing compared to what they doing --if we talking about messing up toilets!

Now Minneapolis College is making Muslim (mostly somli) students a place to take Wudu --the first college to do that properly in America

yeah that's true......what's water compared to the other stuff.

I was just about to bring up that point. Today at work (a professional office setting, not kids or the mall) I put the toilet seat down, only to see it is stained with xaar.........I mean you can't mis-aim like that..........I don't know how he did it.

wallahi I got out of that stall and went to the other one.......in my mind I was thinking, How did this guy put his pants back on? There was no way he could have done it.

Wallahi I would have either burned those pants or put them in the dumpster if I was him. But dadka biyo ma isticmaalaan so it's never really clean...........which makes their matanto/nigis 'One Time Use' like paper plates/cups.

You're right, it is a problem.
However, you can not say, 'keep your wudu in school'. Because if you need to go, you need to go and sometimes wind just passes.
But on a more seriously note, the more Wudu you do the better it is for you when the time comes. Our Nabi (PBUH) has adviced us to increase our Wudu as much as we can. And when the time comes he said he will be able to recognise his ummah, his people because they will be glowing from the Wudu they make. So they more you do the better, and yes Cleanliness is part of Iman. Perseve it. That is is why Salat is important (as well as being one of the pillars of Islam), don't you want the Russullah to recognise you? To pick you out and say, He is one of my people? What an Honor that would be.
But anyhow if you do your Wudu quickly enough, you will not make a mess. Remember that the Russullah (PBUH) used to make Wudu with a single little bottle. He didn't use much water, and also remember that there is a Shaydan that lives in the water (I forgot his name), so for those who take long and use alot, beware that you are actually doing something very very wrong.

The whole socks thing has restrictions,
1. They can not be thin
2. They can not have roles in them, not even a little.
3. You must (according to some) put them on while you had Wudu.
-So what I do is make Wudu at home, then put my socks (pray Fajr or whatever),on and leave for my travels. That way the socks are Wudu-Clean
4. The water you dramp over your socks must reach all over, so not just a little tap.

And as for the other nasty stuff in the toilets, Kufr's disgust me when it comes to cleanliness and the most apparent being the behaviour toilet.
