X,

It doesnt matter the circumstances dear, but the whole notion of calling them refugees in their own country is just absurd and quite redicules if you ask me. That was a war between us as Somalis and Ethiopians, yes, but as far as OG are concerned they are Somali and the war happened in their terriories, therefore, for them to seek refugee in whereever it was save for them in other areas of "their" country is quite alright. That does not qualify them as refugees though.

PS please stop the victim mentally, everyone lose something in our sadly unfortunately recent history.
The war took place in the North, the Ethiopian warplanes bombed Hargeisa not Muqadisho, the soldiers who fought came mostly from the Northern regions of former Somalia, we lost alot in this game called "Somaliweyn" the Ogaadeen were welcomed as Somali brothers in need of shelter, but, how they paid back the hosts for their hospitality was not expected.

As we speak there is few thousand refugess from the Somalia or Mugadisho, they are welcome as citizens of Somalia not Somaliland, the local aid organizations in Hargeisa afforded them shelter on basis of humanity, dont confuse the generosity of Somalilanders with Somaliweyn, yes were one country at one point, that is all in the past. Somaliland is here to stay and the crocodile tears of Somalinimo will not work this time around.

XidigtaJSL,

For beginners, dont not refer us to former Somalia, thats a insult, for SOMALIA does exist today . Furthermore, I don't know what brings Xamar into this disscussion. Are you suggesting that you are upset that the Ethiopians didnt attack Xamar rather than Hargeisa? In the meantime, there is no need to regret about what you think was "Somailweyn" for you and your parents were a noble citizens of it. The fact of the matter is , I'm tired of S/lander's constent lamentation and painting the victim picture in comparison to the rest of somalis. For god sakes, we all suffered one way or another. What makes the people of Hargeisa more important than the millions the government killed in disguise?

Lastly, there are many OG and other Somalis who lost their lives as well as loved ones in that war or other wars. There are also the onese regarless of their qabil who unfortunately sold out on their wadani shirt, which we are paying the price for it now. What Somaliland is doing for the rest of its brothers is greatly appreciated. I suggest you let go the anger and hate, it will only take you better places.

PS, I never confused S/lands hospitality as "Somaliwyne", I'm very much for the independance of Somaliland.
