Which item embarrasses you the most when in a queue to buy?

When you're standing in a queue waiting to buy your item and everyone is bored and peeking at the next person's shopping, which item do you try to hide? And have you ever had to buy just that item on its own, so nothing to hide it under?

It happened to me today and I was surprised at how uncomfortable buying bras made me feel. I am not a teenager anymore so it was a wtf moment. Didn't help that the guy next to me in the queue kept staring and before that there were men walking past the bras section and overlooking your shopping choices.

Same thing with Pads, it can get very annoying and embarrassing. This one time, me, my mum and sister went for the sales shopping. So, just like you I was buying a load of bras & pants. I then bumped into this Auntie and her husband (I was carrying all my bras & pants), I was SO embarrassed wallahi, I quickly ran away from her husband and gave her hug, and was hugging her for a while. (trying to hide my items) I think she/he noticed I was embarrassed. Funnily enough, years ago when I went to a holiday, I was happily swimming with that uncle in sight. Not that I was wearing anything inappropriate, but even so wet clothes stick, yet here I was hiding my lingerie. Crazy times.

Me, I also get embarrassed when I go to my local shops and just buy junke food only? I feel like such a loser. Lol

I thought you were going to say thrush cream.... but a bra maybe if you had a saucy thong i can understand. The only item i felt embarrassed about buying is condoms . I was in boots and felt everyone was staring at me, got me paranoid. Never did it again. Thank goodness for online shopping.

My, my, that is far too far for me. I've bought pads & feminine toiletries and thats about it. Oh yeah, I forget to tell you lot I do self-service with stuff like this, saves me any embarrasment!

My cousin is a female pharmacist and some stupid Somali guys try to embarrass her by going to her and ask for a condom, but she does not care...

Actually yesterday at the store I overheared these two women talking, one of them walks past everything else and goes straight to the white coloured ones, she goes "he likes white ones" her friend made a comment about he must have a thing for virgins. And I was just laughing to myself so there you have it. Adiga xitaa you'll be going, hunno guduudka mise pinkiga

But you are sooooooooooooo right, I am sick and tired of females bringing along their MEN with them to shopping. Specially when they are in the Lingerie section, so ceeb, his like right there and you feel like your every step is being watched! Trust me, it can get pretty embarrassing if you keep going back to the same ol' place, and the same ol' people are there and your paying the same ol' biscuits. I look like a complete sado.

Btw, small box my toes, I tell you when you try to hide stuff, they have a way of dropping in front of people like the 'dugsi macalin,' your worst nightmare. Never happened to me, and I pray it never does! Ameen.

Mine was this past Eid.

I was on the phone at Macy's holding like a few panties and a bras in my hand when a group of khamiis & Koofiyad wearing Somalis came in. At first I was shocked, here I am thinking "Why are all 8 of them at Macy's at the same time?" It felt like hide and seek at Macy's Wallahi, when they went left, I'd go right. The most embarrassing part was my mom came upstairs and found me then started speaking in Somali. Good thing they weren't nosy enough to see who that was as I did NOT want them to see what I had in my hands! Awkward!

It's just one of those thing you assume you'd grow out of lakin I guess you never really do. Some things more than others. I reckon if I had to buy condoms I'd look so paranoid they'd think I was trying to steal something

I don't think I could buy condoms myself from a pharmacist to be honest, too embarrassing.

By the way, in major railway stations around the country (England), one can buy condoms from a special machine located inside the toilets, there are like 3 for 1 pound....
