i need a really open man that will cook an clean and wont be freaked on where i stand on some issues. This will not be easy to find back home. He migh not fit in, find hard to make friends etc.

Woaaah, you're talking about guys back home, I'm having troubles dealing with FOB.

I just think they have a different mentality and might be shocked by us Xalimo's in the West. Lol

Trust me; guys back home receive, and never give. That is a difficult for us Western females.

No Somali guys aren't all the same as there are many different types. Particularly culturally the ones back home are very different to the ones raised in the west, as the ones raised in the west don't have the Somali dhaqan.
But for cooking and cleaning ones back home are worse as they don’t even enter the kitchen. Over here we clear our plates, make our own snacks, simple meals etc and enter the kitchen freely. There are also guys who don’t have any females around and have to learn to cook out of necessity. So yh there are some differences. But I don't think cooking is a must lol.

Okay, we get you MJ you hate cooking and cleaning, probably due to an accident once whilst you were boiling couple eggs, and trying to clear the tables you bumped into the cooking sauce and scaled yourself with hot water (worst the egg wasn't cooked properly). Therefore hating cooking&cleaning ever since.

I really dont believe there are too many females who pride in watching their husbands cook every day ,let alone making it a must. I guess what most Somali men hunger for is a relationship where there is a mutual respect in the sense that if she is not there that day,the house isnt gonna look like a tsunami hit it or the kids starving because hooyo wasnt there.

He doesnt have to do every day lakiin maalintii loo baahdo,he should be the man.

No warsan, nice try though. Actually when I was a young boy hooyo said stay away from the stove, and me being the good, no great son I am. I of course listened to her and haven't touched the stove AND oven ever since

Maybe if the husband is a bum, or is unemployed he should pick up on some chores. But I'm talking about a man who has strong education, a good job and provides for his family day in and day out, shouldn't need to cook on top of that and thats how life always was

That right there,says a lot.His education,income or job shouldnt dictate how he interact with his family.
