Doesn't matter.

For 17 years, guys from Galgaduud were takin Lafoole and acting like it was theirs. Controlled everything in it. Pushed the Wacdaan out, and not once did Mudulood give a hand to them. Not once did Mudulood really address the issue. Mudulood has failed Wacdaan Cismaan.

Well the fact is Mudulood never adressed th issue.

The main issue was always Banadir, but they addressed Shabelle Dhexe and they addressed Hiiraan, but they never addressed Wacdaan who were livin 10 miles away in Lafoole.

Wacdaan suffered more than Geledi in Afgooye. It was them who were pushed out and bullied more than Geledi, and the fact that the issue was never even addressed leads me to believe that even if Mudulood got complete control over Banadir, and Habar Gedir moved to Afgooye, Mudulood would be content and wouldn't mind.

They would leave there brother to suffer the burden all by himself as Mudulood hasn't lent a hand in 17 years.

Mudulood has turned its back on Wacdaan Cusmaan and I am very dissappointed.

Nice read.

The fact still is that Wacdaan, Mobleen, Hilibi are in no position to dop anything.

The powerhouse of Mudulood is Abgaal, second is Udijeen, those are the politicians and the strenght of Mudulood.

Wacdaan needs a helping hand they really can't do anything for themselves and Mudulood pretty much turned their back on them.

Thats the way I see it anyways, and its greatly dissapointing.

The question of Lower Shabelle is an interesting one to be honest.

Many injustices have been committed, and many more will be committed as I see it. You only have to look at how ultatribalism talks, ''look how beautifull the region is, lets move and take it over'' This was also the reason why HG came to the region.

But the future of Lower Shabelle is linked to that of the main clan in Benadir: Mudulood.

In this it is better to accomodate the interests of the various clans in the region that have shaped the region for hunderds of years. At the end, Wacdaan, Geledi, Biyamaal,Tunni, Hilibi and other Hawiye subclans need to look at the common interest and work with Mudulood agenda of establishing a regional administration that would comprise both Shabelle regions.

But ofcourse, all this remains empty talk as long as we have the defacto force in these regions: +30.000 Ethiopian troops.

I don't think Abgaal ama Mudulood reall care about lower Shabelle.

Now Lower Shabelle is a Digil degaan for the most part. I was listening to some Rahanweyn guys talk and one was asked whydid the RRA not try to capture the Digil lands in lower Shabelle since it said they would represent all Digil y Mirifle at first.

His answer was that lower Shabelle was too close to Xamar and they feared that it would make it look like Rahanweyn was taking over everything and make all Hawiye to unite against them.

This actually makes sense to me as Mudulood would be on red alert if a Rahanweyn army came to Afgooye.

But the question that bugged me was why did Abgaal who were a mere 15 miles away never even address the issue. I can understand Abgaal not carring about me or Merka and Qoriyooleey but why not Wacdaan, who is their brother, unarmed and oppressed.

Right now Rahanweyn look like they want to do a maamul gobleed with lower Shabelle in it and the fact that Mudulood never even addressed the issue leads me to think that if it ever came to it Digil would follow Mirifle.

But this was about Wacdaan and in all honest it really looks like Wacdaan was made the sheep and Habar Gedir was allowed to feast on it and no one cared.

Raxanweyn should rather worry about Luuq/Baardheere instead of expanding into Lower Shabelle.

As for Digil clans, they have been independent throughout the centuries, and surely dont need Raxanweyn, unless they want to be assimilated and incorporated in Raxanweyn (alliance of groups).

And, Lower Shabelle has many inhabitants, with Geledi just been one group of the many.

As for Mudulood, well lets just say things went not has hoped for in the past, and the main preoccupation of the group was holding its ground in Benadir. Lower Shabelle was of lower priority, and the Wacdaan were never harmed in any way, because surely that would have called for emergency military assistance.Things will go different in the future though, as the idea of New Benadir State is on most people's mind nowadays.

Raxanweyn and mudulood are in constant struggle since siyad barre was overthrown.
we have seen rahanweyn areas like baardheere which lies in gedo being encirled by guys from central somalia.
as for mudulood the situation is different guys from galgaduud are not claiming the city but make excuses like xamar is somali capital.
as for digil degaans,we have never transpassed their degaans except few abgaals who live in shalanbood or tisxiile, this is 300 years old code of conduct between digils and abgaals .as we know mudulood dont need new degaans as they have a land of 800km along the coasts as their tribal land. 8) 8)
but,if a separate maamul-goboleed is declared in sh.hoose,we will definately be alarted as we will assume it as a threat to our tribal lands.
a separate maamul-goboleed in sh.hoose means the separation of mudulood family clans which is highly worrying matter.

Well Digil have actually been the leaders through out history. Lately the tides have changed as Mirifle became armed and Digil has stayed unarmed and Mirifle took the lead. Well Mirifle pretty much showed me while Digil have always been the leaders.

Either way if maamul goboleed ever does come around to be announced I really think they will end up goin together as Digil y Mirifle and going with Baay y Bakool.

If a Benadir state is announced should be interesting on where things will transpire.

I can't believe the locals to ever think of going for anything associated with Cayr. I would think they would rather go and just make the Digil y Mirifle gobol, instead of a Digil and Mudulood one.

Mudulood will have to be Benadir and Shabelle Dhexe, looks like Shabelle Hoose will go with Baay y Bakool as a Digil y Mirifle gobol.

p.s Mirifle=Rahanweyn
