Do any of you peeps know some of the meanings of the names I underlined in red?

Horta, I know what Cadale means, it consists of two words that was combined, “Caday” iyo “Leh”, the name reflects the town which has abundant Caday. If I'm correct Caday-leh, means "possess-caday."

So what do you lot know what Adan Yabal mean? Masagweyen and Caddow Ulul?

BTW: you know the Ceel dheere I underlined, well that is another Ceel dheere, the MAIN one is located above Masagweyen etc.

Masjiid Cali Gaduud is like my ancestral home, and the meaning is pretty self-explanatory. 8-) :rose:

'Masaga' is a millet. Waa geedka canjeerada lagu dubo.

So Masagaweyn means 'a big millet'.

I think there are some villages in that region which have foreign/Italian names like 'Garas Afra Lere' and 'Eibecher'. Does anyone know what they could mean?

Murusade live in small numbers in Galgaduud and the areas around Banaadir and a few in Somali Galbeed, for example there are four great villages called Dayniile, Day Maroodi, Dameeraale and Doondheere all combined to be called 'Buulo Murusade' in Lower Shabelle. There are some towns/villages in Galgaduud like Ceelbuur, Wabxo, Galhareeri and Maxaas where we reside as well as the Duduble clan. In Somali Galbeed there are Karanle clans (Karanle is the greater clan family in which Murusade is one of the sub clans) that live in Godey and Iimeey. I don't think Murusade is a large clan. It's not a heavyweight like the others.
