Should the AMISOM troops stay or leave Mogadishu?

Are there really any advantages for their stay in Mogadishu aside from protecting the puppet government?

i wanna them personal to leave and a real war to break out.
but you are wrong they are not protecting the government they are protecting some imported building such as Aadan caddes airport.

They should leave of course. Some of the opposition are refusing to make any negotiations because of these troops.

Abakar,
The opposition are always objecting to something or another, specially the ones outstanding today, their moto seems to be; our way or nothing at all.
But objectively speaking is it possible at all, given the right conditions, that the AMISON troops can help stablize Mogadishu?
I too was always of the opinion that only us can help ourselves and no foreign troops can ever achieve any meaningful peace or security for us... But with that logic I tend to reject or oppose most every proposition that is laid on the table...and I'm just getting tired of this never ending cycle.

Yes they serve no purpose and kill our civillians. Down with AMISOM, they must leave Somalia

They should Stay!!period.They came as peacekeeper and when their Mission is complete they will leave!! it will be stupid of the TFG to let them go.!
At the end of the day,the fake wadaads will come up with another excuse.!

It is funny that you bought this up, I was discussing the AU troops staying in Somalia with my friend, and I was saying that they should leave, as their making everything more complicated.
Anywho, why do you believe the government is a puppet one?

Salam Warsan,
TFG is a puppet government no doubt about it for the below reasons;
- They were chosen not by shacabka but rather put together and approved by the so called international community.
- Warlords that should be in jail are part of the TFG.
- They continue to bring foreign troops into our land with the pretense of securing peace but really they are there to protect them.
- They formed in 2004, 5 yrs ago...show me one good thing they accomplished so far? They can't even manage to properly function.
- Finally, if the international community removes their support and backing, TFG is finished.

Is it a bit complicated. If they leave the government will be over run within a day. The opposition are not only opposing foreign troops but TFG all together. What that means is a new government will be formed, this will be a long proccess. Reason being Islamic groups are not united
