I was thinking is the bigger the region the more the population? Or the more available resources (that can sustain population growth) in the respective region the more the people? Well I personally believe in the latter. I believe in countries where there are less resources, unbearable land to live in, the lesser the population. Of course there are other factors to take into account.
Let us take Canada for example, large parts of their land is unbearable to live in, and hence they have small population (around 30 millions) whilst England has larger population (60 million) but you can live in all parts of England, but here is the thing in England they have 25% arable land, whilst 5% of Canada is arable.
Also the biggest country in the World is Russia but their population is less than that of USA, and they also have less arable land 5% whereas America has 19%.
In conclusion, is it fair to say that the Southern Somali regions would have more people in it, rather than the Northern regions? Although some of the Northern regions are bigger in terms of land mass but they dont necessarily have more people in them.
