Abdala, there is no xamar, xamar dhulkaa ladhige and as i'v been told that city is hella old and dont forget the iskaa uqabso, which means the majority who took part would have been local meaning aya dhisten  Horta how can stand there and say absolutely no! you can not have a say in Bosaso and at the same time say am wrong for suggesting the same about xamar :|
horta why are u now saying the same thing that u used to argue with me about?

Greenday and shirib, i am not talking about public properties like the infrastructure but am talking about private properties. Every Somali had investments in Xamar and were heavily involved in the politics. SYL soo soomali oo dhan mey aheen? Can you say the same about bosaso and the creation of Puntland? No.

Xamar is too large and too important to ever become part of maamul state. It will remain in Federal control.

I try to reason why it is wrong, but it doesn't matter what I say, it is what it is going to be.
i haven't been followiing along, but do u think a person from Marka should be able rule Cabudwaaq? A guy who's reer mataan should he be able to rule Buulo Xawo?
I believe anyone who the locals choose should be able to rule. I don't believe in this mentality of non abgaals should not be able to run for city positions in xamar. If he is not elected that is one thing, but to not even be able to run for office is another thing.

What about the fact that close to everyone would vote for a person from their clan?

Abdallah, tough luck. Invest in your desert.

Ur making it seem like Xamar became a city in the 50's and 60's. Xamar has always been the largest city that's why it became what it is, and when it was starting out, no everyone did not have property in it. Just like Boosaaso in 98 only had a few people but as it grew a lot more people from all over the place have sizeable investments in it. Now why are u not willing to share Boosaaso, today? There are plenty of non MJ's living in Boosaaso aren't there.

Xamar was built before SYL.

If they have properties there and built a life there, who am i to stop them? The Mayor of Bosaso isn't MJ, the head of Bosaso police is Madhibaan.

In all honesty, I'm not for any clan being entitled to any city.

The locals of that city/state should chose whoever they want. A MJ guy should be able to become the head of Baydhabo, Isaaq guy head of Kismaayo, a Leelkase guy should be head of Xamar, Habar Gedir head of Boosaaso, etc.

But it's unfair to say, only a person from my clan should rule my city and in the same tongue say we should also be able to rule Xamar.

Greenday from what you were arguing earlier it is woman who lose. Because if abgaal woman marry non abgaal man, it's like their children become non citizens  Ka warran if your children from another qabil who grew up in xamar and want to contribute something positively to xamar by leading it are told hey sorry but your not really a citizen of xamar.

I don't believe anywhere should be based on qabil.
