Maxaa soocdo The Apprentice.

Shaxaari guys don't creep me out, I know how to not take them serious, its the ones that give me the 'you shouldn't be here' look, I feel out of place and doing something not good.

definitely plus the shaxari bit

I think it's because you know it's a no go, they're practically your muxrum because there is absolutely nothing there. Lakin if the person is Muslim and especially if they are Somali you feel it, all systems alert
What? How are they anything close to muxrum? If anything, they're furthest away. :|

It's weird, imo. We're all so uncomfortable around each other, but I've seen folks oddly friendly with kufar of the opposite gender.

They have no right to give you side eyes. I got into an argument with a dude who tried to say something to my sister once. It's the guys who feel they have the right to judge random girls who piss me off the most. But I never really know how to react to the women who stare at you, following you with their eyes while turning they heads, as you're walking by. :?

I know how to handle those ones: give them a taste of their own medicine. They're not your fathers nor your brothers, shaqo la'aan aa ka badatey

It's just that thing, you can't take them too seriously and you have this barrier that you know can never be crossed. Weird but makes sense to me.

Hmm. I used to think the same, years ago.

Yeah, I assumed. But is it because they're paying attention, or do we just assume they are?

Consider yourself, Beans. Do you gawk and stare at a Somali or any Muslim guy as he's trying to eat his burger?
I avoid eye contact for the most part.

I have yet to eat openly at a place that Somalis or other muslims frequent. At Somali places,i do take out.

Maybe it is just psychological,we think they are staring at us while they might be feeling that and leads to the awkward situation.

Somalida, for the most part,in ma personal experience esp.the young generation get slightly uncomfortable if they see another Somali person at a different environment.Maybe it is just me feeling this.

Daadi, sorry sxb

You know Somalis/Muslims, know your culture/deen and know what is expected of you and how you should be behaving so we feel like we are being judged when around them. Its all to do with familiarity.
