I was trying to make the point that government founded media doesn't necessarily preclude impartiality. In time, SNTV may even become privatised. I am certainly not in favour of having Stalinist ''state news'' networks.
However, we currently need SNTV.

Somalis are generally very entrepreneurial; some of the so called somali media manifested through website are just clan websites inadeer. We have not developed as much as we give the impression of.
I am aware that independent media is a utopia in many cases. But, I don't want my poor government to invest much needed funds in a propaganda machine.
