Postby AhlulbaytSoldier » Sun Jul 14, 2013 6:06 am

To be a capital again the sins in the past must be cleaned.
This Govt must do whatever it can to give back those who lost houses and other properties in the 90's.
The same ruling should be applied all over the country.

Without doing so, do not expect peace to return. Returning(looted properties) is a crucial step towards reconciliation.

Xamar is now the former capital. I believe Erigaavo is more legit capital for future united and prosperous Somali Federal Republic than that Italian and Siad Barre built Hutu-looted graveyard.

Erigaavo iyo badhan dhulkaan wada cagaarka ah that never spilled any blood is the way its heading whether Hutus like it or not.

Hutu coming here will be registered and monitored after 10 years proving themselves to be worthy citizens they will be allowed to assimilate with the rest.

Right now all Somalis must know going back to Mogadishu means we allowing them to get away with thousands of crimes, $3 billion debt in our name, Ugandan kids roaming around for free, properties looted and new ones you build will go in the same direction because they got away with it first time.

Meyle,

SL is a federal state within the Federal Somali Republic. The whole Horn of Africa is going to integrate brother and there is no point standing in the corner in 2013. If you really wanted a country you had your chance in 1960. Let it go mate and understand integration is the way whether you like it or not. Human evolution goes thru various stages, it had individualism, villageism, urbanism, imperialism, comunism, socialism, Islamicism and now its time for integrationism.

Just try to get the best deal before it is too late sxb. I know where the wind is blowing in this and taking the capital away from Hutu is very strategic for both Isaaq and Darood, we will populate the town together and breed new gens together that take us forward while Hutu is still looting each others.

Erigavo is 6-8hours away from Hargeisa compared to 18 hrs away Mogadishu...hostile territory...

Those mountains will protect the capital from enemies...and we could even build bunkers and tunnels under some of them for emergency cases...further more the ports of Hiis, Maid and Las Qorey are stone away.

It would look like Rio De Janeiro with those mountains once we develop it.

And Erigavo

Think about it Isaaq and Darods.

First of all its called the Federal Republic of Somalia and if you didn't know SL is not part of it, we were never part of Somalia. Secondly integration is not the solution to the problems existing in the horn and yes you're right I had my chance in the 60's but I blew it for something that I thought would benefit all Somalis, however now is our time to correct the previous mistakes and trust me we won't make the same mistake again.

it wouldnt be bad for the horn and east africa to integrate but somaliland would still be independent from somalia or anyother country......that is the most im willing to go!!

sxb im not familiar with cerigaabo because i have not been there, but i visited other districts such as badhan, las qoray, hadaaftimo and haylaan and most of the locals there see themselves as puntlanders, even the majority of their youths prefer to move to pl cities like bosaso and garowe. 90% of the livestock in sanaag are exported from bosaso.

The looting started in the 1960s. All looted properties should be returned and those who built property using stolen government funds must have their properties nationalized and returned to the treasury.
