Isn't it his job to collect sales taxes, property taxes, and license taxes. Why is w-maaliyada collecting taxes at check points around Xamar. His employees aka minshibiyo should be manning those check points. At this stage reer Banaadir should refuse to share the revenue from Dekeda and the airport with the SFG. Fck HAG, and their so called leaders should be lynched, start with HS.

I don't like this guy ( I called him Maangaab) but he is making some good points in this video.

I think it is easy to solve the issue of taxation in Xamar;

a) payroll tax those who work for NGOs, Govt and parliament; most of the money comes from donors and will therefore be easier to track. A payroll local/regional taxt of 15% will do. This is acceptable to the international community.
b) Real estate tax based on the value of the house. This move will ever offset the pressure of inflation.

What somalia needs is a tax regime. I have read reports on this issue. At the moment, the only two taxes that can be enforced are asset and payroll taxes. Real Estate and bank deposits as well as payroll tax for govt officials and NGO are the pnly feasible ones. I have seen studies that call for a levy on the money sent by the diaspora.

But, all these depends on what is done with the money collected.

The income from the airport and port should be used by the government.

LOL@@@@@@@tribal reason. No, no, it is not because of tribalism. I am against people that are not elected and who do not have a polished CV. You cannot talk your way into public office. That is the main reason. At least Tarzan had worked in local government.

I demand an apology Anzeloti. I thought you were one of the sane ppl on these boards.

P.s. do you support ppl purely on tribal lines?

PS Anzeloti, JaaleM isn't against Muungaab because of a tribal reasons, I am sure of that.
