Over 1,000 Men from Puntland are in Hamar fighting along side their brothers to defeat Al Shabaab. As for Faroole he is the President of Puntland and not Somalia just yet.

Al-shabaab are fringe wahabis, so i suggest you stop using the term so freely if you want to be fair. You have wahabis who are in the TFG, with one of them even being assassinated by the khawaarij (Adeer Ibrahim caddow AUN). I

I don't think you can consider them salafi jadiid too. Salafi Jadiid are anti-Jihaad, worship the saudi kings and blind follow their scholars. I don't think ICU or the major somali caalims are like that. I know Umal got into trouble with the jadiid in Arabia. Like wise cumar faaruq called AY a kaafir, for an act that salafi Jihaadis would not dare make tafir upon ,seeing as how their ilaah, King cabdallah has been doing the same things for years. Jadiids are neo murjiah.

Al-shabaab aren't even salafi jihaadists. That would be an insult to people like Abdullah Azzam etc. They are terrorist, takfiri Khawaarij. They follow a manhaj that believes that you can attack nationals whose governments fights Muslims. Their Grand mufti is Anwar Awalaki.

There is no doubt that these people sprung forth from wahabism. I just don't think you can say they represent the whole movement.

Peace is something we are desprate for and inshallah 2011 will be the year.
