God will do justice for them in the day of judgment. I think Siad Barre was very arrogant about this issue.

That time siyad Bare soldiers and loyalists from Gedo robbed Raxanweyn food reserves which as a consequence reduced its population into starvation. They are responsible of the famine that killed over three hundred thousand souls in Bay Bakool regions in early 1990s

So now, he was even responsible Rahanweyn starvation?
Though I sympatise with their suffering, I do not believe thay were innocent by standards. Hundreths of people who were on their way to Gedo region were killed and robbed by them in 1991. They just blocked the road and threw granades at the vehicles that refused to stop.

Walaahi waxii xunbaa haawaa iska leh.
sxb, i never heard Raxanweyn killing people in noticeable way at that time, i will seek more info about it but that is a separate issue. ON the other hand, there is a sufficient evidence to prove that the massive food robbing of Siyad Bare loyalists in Bay and Bakool regions in early 1990s was directly linked with the subsequent famine and starvation that followed.

about the video, when were these sheiks killed? MSB was the president but the country was ruled as group of men, at least in the early years. A relative of mine who was part of that group told us when Somalia was about to invade Ethiopia he (MSB) asked a group of ministers, army chiefs, etc. to to vote on the matter and only one man (the head of supreme court) voted no and predicted a disaster for Somali army and possible disintegration. My point is that MSB was not alone in decision making, at least in the early years. Many high ranking gov officials are still alive and it would be nice if they leave the history in their heads as written literature. Somalis being oral society, most of them will most likely die with our history

Siad Barre was the one ordered the execution of these clerks. He had the last say for matters like this. He killed them and no matter how much excuse we try to come up with is not going to wash him. May Allah not put us in the hands of oppressors?

Samatar,

You are not going to produce some sort of ‘’written’’ statements written by whom?

It is a well-know that rahanweyn had robbed and killed many people on their way to Gedo region. How said barre is responsible for rahanwein starvation?
