If it wasn't for SNM there wouldn't be Somaliland. Cigaal was the man behind the Habar-Habar wars in his attempt to undermine Garxajis and get to the presidential seat even though he didnt fight for the liberation of Somaliland. Im not going to disrespect the man because he's dead but he's nothing in my eyes... nothing!

There was always going to be a inter Habar wars in waqooyi and cigaal was a very smart politician if he did not stop SNM, Somaliland today would be like the south. The simple truth is rebel groups cannot lead look at USC . You should thank cigaal, without him you would have death and destruction.

The debate is not about wether Cigaal was successful as a politician or not. Its about her statement that without Cigaal there wouldnt be Somaliland and thats completely wrong. SNM laid the foundation and they created Somaliland.

SNM didnt only liberate but they also laid the foundation and without them there wouldn't be a Somaliland period. Secondly Cigaal was only a kursi doon and used the tension and rivalry that already existed along tribal lines within the SNM to reach his goal which was to undermine Garxajis and get the presidential seat. If he was successful as a politician or not is another debate.
