The assumption here is that you understood the evolution of the somali latin script, so when he is stating Muusa Galaals support for Shires latin script what he means is his modifications not the invention or the entire idea of adopting latin for somali language. Now since you demanded a reference and mentioned Goosh Anderzejewski you should have been familiar with his opinion on the subject, he was there long before Shire was even known and this is the paper he wrote on the history of the somali script. During the Kacaan Shire was appointed the president of the newly founded Academy Of Art Science And Culture and his book on Wiil Waal mythology became a standard somali literature and also his advertisment of Raage Ugaas poetry convinced Afweyne to name tow schools afer them, by all means Shire was the mentore of Idaajaa along Aw Jaamac another senior member of that institude. Muusa Galaal the cheif authority on Somali literature and greatest collector of somali poetry was, sidelined while the regime financed the propaganda of Shire, Aw Jaamac and Idaajaa, Muusa Galaals work was pushed out of all major medias be it news paper like Xidigta or Radio Muqdisho.

When Muusa Galaal died in 1981 his life time collection around 500 poetry tapes and other written materials wasn't even taken to the Academy that was supposed to collect somali art and literatur, in short it was bad for their narrative, ironically the very man these people groomed supposely to become the greatest somali poet Raage Ugaas became a ghost poet a man that never had any dual with any other contemporary poets but himself marooned in a literary desert island . Shire and his cohorts in an extreme fits of self aggrandizement chose to obliterate the poems of all his opponents, Xirsi Boqon, Jadeer and Gabay Xoog because having their poetic rebuttals also would have spoiled the grooming of Raage Ugaas as the lone king of poetry.

First I want to say this, Muuse Galaal was a most respectable man. From all historical accounts, him and Shire Jama were the best of friends. Of course he is a founding father of the Somali orthography and he also exchanged with Shire Jaamac at various times the Chairman and Vice Chairman position of the Somali language commission.

However, the Somali script we use today is the one originated by Shire Jaamac. He is not A founding father, he is THE founding father. You can write Latin script in any language howrver the script we have as it is uniquely developed fo Somali is Shire Jaamac.

In the UNESCO recommendation I posted from last page from 1966 you could see that when UNESCO recommended Shire Jaamac as the best they also compared it to Muuse Galaal (who had a competing orthography at that time they labeled #4 with Shire's #7). Both the link and caption from 1966 are there.

I alsp posted a 1964 link from Andrewjesky and IM Lewis saying they wrote the Somali poems using Shire Jama's version of Somalized Latin for best form.

I also posted a quote from the esteemed Hussein Tanzania (Habar Yonis) documenting that Muus Galaal later threw his support behind Shire Jaamac.

No i gave you the link of an interview of Sheila Anderzejweski who was an eye witness to the entire history of the somali script as far as the1950 and in that interview she said Shire Jaamac got the credit for something he didn't invent nor poineered, in short she is saying its a fake history, which is percisly my point.
