Ethiopia is NOT an enemy of somaliland.

Somaliland is unrecognized country and as you know Ethiopia is one of few markets that are available to us right now. Allowing Ethiopia to use Berbera port produces income revenue for us. Anything to economically sustain us is therefore welcomed. Those who believe that Ethiopia is an evil neighbor are wrong. Zoomalians always blame their problems on others, but it's only their problem. For us Ethiopia should remain the friendly neighbor that it is. We should continue to conduct business transaction with them, have them and continue to strengthen our relations with them. Currently many somalilanders take and bring goods to and from Ethiopia. This backward idea that we should shut the door to our neighbors because of the failures in Somalia is nonsense. If they want to label us Ethiopian lovers so be it. Somaliland is a friend of Ethiopia, and ethiopia is very friendly neighbor to us, we share both borders and common interest, making sure zomalians are held in check.

Ethiopia opened its borders to us in 1988, when our homes were bombed by zoomalians and more than half million of somalilanders fled across the border and were sheltered in ethiopia. They were never our enemy. Whoever said 'wiilka addis ayaa iiga dhaw kan Muqdisho" was absulately right. It should stay that way.

Somaliland is a friend of Ethiopia, and ethiopia is very friendly neighbor to us, we share both borders and common interest, making sure zomalians are held in check.
