People think HJ is small because they live in a small land compared to let say Majeerteen who inhabit large chunks of Somalia.

The same Ogaden you talk about is the ones, that have lost 90% of their land to Ciidgale and HY. From Lafaruug near Berbera were the Ciidgale took in the mid 1700 all the way to Aware near Dhagaxbur were they are know. Thats 400-600km.

Whats is Leekase, other than Ducaysane whos Reer abti is I have never heraed of them in Somali oral history, suuganta, gabay, and hees. They contributed nothing to Somali history they are useless langabs.

Firstly, Leekase dont settle in Hawd, Majeerteen are recent to Hawd as recent as 1940-50/60. Galaadi and Bokh were former Merexaan degeens that were vacated when the MX moved to Gedo and Somalia. The MX settled the MJ as they need'nt want the HY to expand further this was help by the 'Mad Mullah' son who was the minister of Interior for Haila Salasese in the 1940's. He armed MX, MJ, and Ogaden to fight a few clans of HY.

Ciidagle inhabit 3 Gobols in Somaliland, Saaxil, Togdheer, and Waqooyi galbeed. 2 Gobols in Hawd with Dhagaxbur and Qoraxleey.
