@ fundraising for the artists

You know the money for this event will go straight into the back pockets of the promoters. There's not a single organization that's willing to out their logo on the offical posters so far as they're not participating. I don't know if they will manage to do something in the end but for the time being, this is a rip off and only the promoters will benefit just like they did in 2008. Not even the artists got paid that day.

Last time there were a whole bunch of parties but only one of them was legit. The others were just another sorry excuse for having a party.

These events have been getting out of hand from 2006-2006 or so as the success of such events have led to other bogus promoters to hold the same parties without raising funds to a good cause back home. Unfortunatly, the young people, wastemans, dhilooyin and tramps have no priorities and attend for the sake of it.

Keyse that's nothing. I didn't attend the event in 2008 but i was driving that day as i had to pick up one of the organisers. While the party was going on, the organiser stepped out with the money, got in the car and another organiser ran after him and jumped in my car at the time. I'm thinking "Maxaa dhacay" only for my eyes notice the bags under the 1st individuals jacket. We went to some ladys house in Manor Park where i continued chewing and these guys were counting the money. Seinab Cige came to the house along with Qalanjo asking where the money was ana dhulka aan fadhiiyey thinking "wtf"

The guys told them that this money they were holding and counting was for the fund raiser and another person would be coming shortly with the artist money. Islaanta and the owner of the house went to the kitchen after a shortwhile and the guys ran out of the house ana waan fadhiyey meesha
