To the west, my family arrived here in the UK 1989 aged 4, but I have uncles who came here in the 50s and even some distant relatives who actually came here in 1940s. But the funny thing is of all their children who were born here you would find it hard to believe how somali they are, its like they arrived yesterday.

June 5th 1988, as according to my passport/documents. Lived in east London till 1992 and moved to west and have lived there ever since.

True I have cousins born in the UK who are aged 40 or so, they live in cardiff and scunthorpe, waa proper somali, even more so than my self.

I arrived in Sweden 1990 from Moqadisho with my mom, and the rest of my family arrived 1990 to the UK, My Uncle dads brother was Here in 1940, and my Auntie was here 1965....

It seems most Somaliland section members are UK resident, this gives the adage 'we are the Queen's children' its true meaning
