The isaaqs of the 60s were emotional and full of love. They’re naïve and knew nothing about politics. They got eaten by the sharks of the south and Somaliland sovereignty vanished as quickly as it came.

The isaaq of the 70s were clueless including Hadraawi who was reciting "Waan soo socda kowdha” in advocating for Djibouti to join the so called Somaliweyn union. We had countless wasiiro in Xamar oon wax qabad lahayn. Most of them ended up in jail for being stupid.

The Issaaqs of the 80s were the bravest generation of all. Starting with UFO, Dhagax tuur up rise, the creation and the funding of the SNM, The secret military operations conducted in Mandheere and Bir Jeex and finaly the liberation of the land.

The Isaaqs of the 90s were pioneers. They founded the current state of Somaliland. They created peace and stability and provided sense of security. They implemented constitution for all, the national flag of Somaliland, the national anthem, the Somaliland currency etc.

The Isaaqs of the 2000s are driven and dedicated who make sure the dreams and the hope of these who died for the cause becomes reality. ALLAH help us all.
