Not really. Somalis think everything green is farmland. Borama is semi-arid just like the rest of central and northern Somalia, but there are a few pockets of grassland. That's the extent of it. Nugaal/Sool is much better suited for farming of any kind but Borama can only hold as many agricultural yields as any part of Waqoyi, its not significant. Borama's elevation is too high for commercial farming, the best you can do is a few very small sections of grain, but growing grain on a small farm is pointless to begin with, you need massive acreage and Borama's geography does not allow that. Borama is not "lush" my friend, it is very arid, there are only a few small farming/seeding operations outside of the city, but once you travel one mile out of the zone you enter mountains and rocky terrain in every direction.
