I know this because it's Somaliland history, my history.
Somalidu waxay ku maah maahdaa 'OODI AB KA DHAW".
We need to focus on the bigger picture rather than qabiil BS. If Landers wants opt out, there has to be a better alternative. Until you find that alternative (if there is any) you must continue to go forward with the concept of Somaliland nationhood.
The old lady in Xariirat and qolo jeed, salaxley or banka wajaale doesn't give a fuck about what goes on in Hargeisa, Borama or Mogadishu. She just wants to herd her flock of sheep in peace. Peace is what Somaliland is providing for these people and that is the bottom line.
Somali peninsula is under siege in general. If you get something good going in your corner why temper with it. We should say ALAHAMDU LILAH and wish the same for other Somali brother down south.

I couldnt have put it better in words mashallah, if the facilties for peace is available and the ability to improve the lives of the people that overrides every aspect. At the end of the day most people who fail are those that look at every angle from the perspective of qabiil. It is why Somalis are usually most of the time in a bad state. But alas alhamdullialh if there is peace that is one thing everyone can be happy about. Usually people associate peace with development. In Israel/Palestine they have development but no peace which costs the Israelis many of them migrating away and living in Europe instead. People only see the value of peace once its gone which is sad.
Dhaga Bacayl listen to this and tell me what you think, its about the killers of Gabiley, prof Hassan Warfa gives his take and his solution and I agree with him:

RuralMan08 ,
Salaan sare,
Here is my take on the issue and prof's speach.
I agree with him 100% regarding the blood money that should be paid to the families of the victims as agreed by the guurti from both sides. I also agree that the issue must be dealt with heads on to defuse the tension rather than dealing with the ugly consequences it might bring upon us.
I also agree with him that the so called elderly from both sides dropped the ball. If they reached an agreement and decision was made regarding the blood money why didn’t didn't follow through it and deliver their promises? Why didn’t they enforce their findings? That is beyond me.
However, I disagree his personal assesement of how this event can spill out to a full grown civil war where the Isaaq will be evacuated to Ceergaabo and Samoroon will be displaced to Ethiopia. This is not about Isaaq vs. Samaroon. The Isaaq from Ceergaabo or Togdheer or hargeisa from that matter don’t have nothing to do with this. Besides, not all isaaqs pay blood money as one. Same goes for Samoroon. The issue is squarely sitting on the shoulders of one specific group. They did the killing, they should pay. This is about few blood thirsty individual who did the unthinkable.
The professor must understand his audience too. There are people out there who are looking for any kind of justification and encouragement from people like him and I so they can do evil. His words can actually inspire some people to seek revenge against innocent people like you and I.
One must acknowledge that these people went through ugly bloody civil war where thousands have been killed. I don’t think they want to go through the same process and repeat history. This should be dealt with accordingly in isolation. Generalizing the issue could only expand its impact which is very dangerous. He should talk to his friends in private and fix the issue, if he has the capacity to do so. Intellectuals like him do it all the time. That is what Somaliland all about. We don’t wait others to fix our problems. If he has the solution for the equation, as he stated in his statement, he should utilize it and solve the problem. He will be a hero!!!!!

I pretty much agree with everything you have said, but you know what they say, the intolerant and the evil ones have the loudest voice. If they can be silenced and those moderate open individuals can be empowered then this problem can easily be defused.
