quake updates??

do anyone have any updates on the quake were there any damages or casualties was it limited to borama or was it parts of western somaliland??

I havene't a clue. My cousin who went on holiday to Borama was shocked by the earthquake and everyone seem shaken. But alxamdulilah everyone is well so hopefully it wasn't that bad :up:

I havene't a clue. My cousin who went on holiday to Borama was shocked by the earthquake and everyone seem shaken. But alxamdulilah everyone is well so hopefully it wasn't that bad :up:

was it just borame that was affected somebody told me djibouti awdal and kilinka areas were hit??

I think Borama was the main area to feel the quake. I'm not to sure about the others, I heard someone say it was felt in Hargeisa too but it was probably very minor in other areas.

The Quake started in south of Borame beyond the border between Somaliland and Ethiopia and it was felt in as far as Hargeysa.

alxamdulilaa it wasn't that powerfull 4.6 scale, most of the power of the earthquake happened in awdal region, on the hargeisa side it was fairly mild, fortunatly not that much damage and no casualties. alxamdulilaa

here is some of the damage in borama, alxamdulilaa it wasn't that big

damu it shocked alot of people backhome aswell. It was the biggest earthquake in Somaliland's history.

i believe this is the 3rd or 2nd time it happened this year alone in awdal and surrounding areas, even though all of them were small scale who knows the next one might be catastrophic. any new tall buildings in awdal should take precautions anyway possible.
