I never said they were Oromo land but people who migrate to Ethiopia, use those places first then travel to other places in Ethiopia. Who in their right mind would want to stay in those places deep in the Somali region while they can go to more comforting places in Ethiopia? I think you misunderstood me bro. I was actually talking about the Somalis from Hargaisa. Where in Oromia did they flee to when there was a war in their region? I am sure not all of them went to Qabribayax and Harta Shaikh as some like to claim. What branch of the Oromo nation lives in Hawaday?

Yes Awwaday, Dire dawa, Harar, Miesso etc.....then to maybe to adis' aba or adama possibly even but its not a problem really except for me in Dire Dawa it seems like Somalis there are increasing.

Did the Oromos/Ethiopians during the Somalia civil war, when the Somalilanders fled into Jigjiga etc, did they say things like ''Isaaqs are God of money'' or anything to that equivalent. (because a lot of those who fled took their wealth with them and sold their belongings and gold in exchange for food).

Well it seems there are always periods of food prices. I remember hearing food prices hiking because deformed fertilizer 20 + years ago given to Oromo farmers. Even now the prices have gone berserk forcing people into unfortunate circumstances. But back then Ethiopia was going through all sorts of shit with Haraghee being a crazy place.

Garaman, to my knowledge northern somali refugees were mostly in refugee camps in the border region. And they came by mengistus invitation. I think Oromos in northern somalia should return home. We really need to organize and understand the problem which is driving our people to neighbouring countries and what can be done about it in our country.

Also, it's not an issue of going with money. Even if you go there with money there really is no law in that country. From jijjiga to bosaaso. If you dont belong to a major clan, a bandit will stick a gun in your mouth and rob you. One of my cousins was driving a truck just west of hargeysa and he was attacked by armed bandits. It was probably one of the "somaliland security forces".
