London is the biggest and most influential diaspora community that he will need to get on his side but he's doing a good job so far

The last guy who brought a Somalia flag to the somaliland party in toronto got beat up by a bunch of young guys from the UK near the staircase. And it was the local Somalis at the party that stopped the beating.

I think it depends on where the Somaliland event is. Somalis in Canada/US are not as emotionally attached to Somaliland as the Somalis in Europe.

UK is another story. They wear their Sland t-shirts with their sub-clans name on it shouting Sland to the top of their lungs. It would be suicide to bring a Somalia flag at a Somaliland event in Europe
