nice map, I agree Hargeisa needs some serious town-planning, Berbera & Burco are most organised in planning even though they are much smaller.
Also, the last time I was there (06) the local council/general public was asphalting roads bit by bit but I feel this is the Governments duty and they should make it their priority that all roads are asphalt/paved.
Finally, I feel we are neglecting other cities and turning SL into a one city state like Somalia was/is before 1991 (Mogadishu) we have so many cities with potential like Burco, Berbera, Boorama and Ceerigaabo

The city council of hargeisa although absolutely useless in most respects ....at least divides up new
land the city is spreading into well.

Have you seen the edges of hargeisa, It's all blocks neatly divided up
.....At least it's not chaotic like some of the inner neighbourhoods.

abdi, that's normal that some parts of the city are more organised than others. The original parts of the city are obviously congested and very disorganised i.e. shops blocking some roads and houses blocking roads etc this is most common in the city centre (suuqa hoose) and surrounding neighbourhoods like goljano sheikh madar etc. Newer areas like new hargeisa is very nice and organised
