Of course all the big hotels in Hargeysa have modern flushing toilets, showers etc. In addition there is even buildings with lifts (like the Dahabshiil one).
The only thing that it lacks is an extensive sewage system all over the city, that needs some $ millions.

The city look green mashallah.

as for the sewege system..they dig big underground holes and when needed a booyad drains it..I have no idea where they take it to though.
Lol can you imagine the smell :mindblown: I couldn't breath whenever that thing was on visit.
Well that was atleast my experience at this hotel I was staying at. I hope not this is the case for the 'fancy' hotels. ::

I presume that is how it is done for the most part, certain buildings in Hargeysa might be a expectation as they are more upgraded than say the smaller towns where that practice
is widespread. Nevertheless because of lack of a sewage system investment a lot of places in the Somali areas are done like the old way, even Mogadishu which before the war
had some organized sewage system but was destroyed in the wars.

Hargeysa qashin badan waxba hanoo xayaysiinina. waxa qashin iyo baco xaafadaha dhex yaala waad yaabaysaan. waa magaalo 1,2 million degentahay oo cidina qashinka ka ururin.
sida magaaladoo dhan dooxyada ama luuqyada qashinka ugu daadinayeen ayaan meelaha qaarkood la mari karaynba.

So many trees. Compare this and when Afweyne visited the city 26 years ago, the city was beyond semi desert. It shows the environmental problem was mainly being caused by
the former regime.
