Oil:Updates on block 26

Postby Siciid85 » Fri Nov 02, 2012 11:18 pm

Updates of the process has been released after months of surveys in the Jacka Resources websites in october.

9 active petroleum seep sites have been officially confirmed. And those are the following below.
9 analysed seeps in block confirm an
active light oil/condensate system
1.Odewayne seep.

2.Burao west seep.

3.Beerato-1

4.Beerato-2

5.Qudhakudle seep.

6.Eeg-Burao seep 1.

7.Eeg-Burao seep 2.

8.Boodhley

9.(Not sure if it is Ragad) the number of confirmed seeps are 9 and Ragad adds up the number of those outside the coloued parts even though there seems to be a little
typo with the map regarding the symbol of this location.

10 further locations have been identified to be located at active petroleum seep, it is to be sampled later on.
10 additional seeps identified during
scouting for new grav/mag & seismic
surveys – will be sampled and
analysed
1.Meygagta Weyn

2.Jab Dhurwaa

3.Qoolcaday

4.Hara Sheikh Seep

5.Sabowanaag 1

6.Sabowanaag 2

7.Camp Gaas

8.Celiyo

9.Qool Buulaale

10.Libaax Qawdhama

Masha Allah. I hope our dream becomes a reality.
Same basin system as Yemen

only 150km from the deep water sea port of berbera which is located on major oil shipping lane.

The world at our finger tips, imagine that. :mindblown:

Commercially attractive location
centre of Odewayne block 120km from Berbera –
significant deepwater port built by the British, with
direct access to major global oil supply route.

Somalistan inshallah. It depends on the location, places like Ragad are 83 km away from the coast while the most southern parts of the block such as Qool Bulaale, Libaax
Qawdhama etc are about 186 km away.Indeed the block 26 has many advantages.

Sicid, although alhamdulilah we have oil, and lots of it at that, don't you think these shady companies are gonna cut a shitty deal about 80% to them and 20% to us? Overall i think it'd be better if we don't let these folks in.

Jacka Resources only has 50% share in it, the rest belongs to the company headed by the Somalilander man Mohamed Yuusuf Ali Guray. It is a joint venture.
